Midday Music for Organ with Jeffrey Snedeker on Wednesday, October 18

Jeff Snedeker will bring birdsong to Anabel Taylor Chapel. In a program of 17th- and 18th-century music ranging from Steigleder to Handel, Kerll to Krebs, Couperin to Daquin, he’ll explore musical evocations of the songs of the cuckoo and the nightingale. The program culminates with Jeff’s own arrangement of Handel’s famous organ concerto, HWV 295, that charmingly pits the two songsters against one another.

Do join us if you can, for music at once charming, humorous and a little poignant, heard at its best on Cornell’s lovely baroque organ.
