Johnson Museum and CCHK present American Women at the Piano 1814-17

Join us for a unique collaboration between the Johnson Museum of Art and the Cornell Center for Historical Keyboards: next Thursday, our artist-in-residence Patricia Garcia Gil and Seymour R. Askin Jr. ’47 Curator of Earlier European and American Art at the Museum, Andrew C. Weislogel, will immerse your eyes and ears into music culture of lesser-known American women composers. Center’s recently acquired and restored Hazleton Brothers square piano, made in New York circa 1850, will make its debut for the contemporary audience.

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, March 20, at 5:15pm in Robinson Lecture Hall at the Johnson Museum of Art.

Free and open to all.
